A Christmas Eve Invitation from Pilgrim Lost

A Christmas Eve Invitation from Pilgrim Lost

It’s Christmas Eve.

Most of us are ready for the holidays- gifts are wrapped, the turkey is defrosting and you may have even poured yourself some boozy eggnog and are sitting down by the Christmas tree, taking in the beauty of the twinkling lights in the deepening twilight. It’s here and in those precious few days left before the ball drops that we begin reflecting on the last year and pondering our possible intentions for the next.

Tony and I started dreaming and scheming about this podcast, Pilgrim Lost, many months ago. In fact, our first meeting, when he proposed the idea that we should co-host a podcast, was March 28th. I was a bit hesitant, but mostly excited. Excited to not only talk more about pilgrimage - the experience that had dramatically changed my life, but to collaborate to create something new; something that would invite everyone into this conversation, not just those privileged few that got the chance to walk across Spain with a backpack.

9 months later, I feel even more excited. From launching our website to walking our inaugural Portland Pilgrimage to hosting our first guest, Bryce Langston, we have had quite an adventure!

Tony and I are so looking forward to the upcoming year and what it holds. We want to share Pilgrim Lost with as many listeners as we can. We want to continue having discussions about finding wholeness in the everyday and beauty in the ordinary. We want to find practices that help us be equally present with our loved ones and the stranger we pass on the street. We want to find ways to live simply, and meaningfully, and as Tony shared on our last podcast, with generosity of spirit.

Lofty ideals? Absolutely.

Can we do this?

We don’t know... but we want to try. Will you try with us?

Tony and I want to invite you to walk with us into this New Year. If you have been listening these past few months, we are so grateful for you! If you haven’t, we invite you to get lost with us.

There’s so much waiting to be found.
