Overcoming Fear with Camino Guide, Dr. Jeremiah Gibbs

Meditation-in-motion, as in the case of long-distance trekking, is very much the process of moving in and out of discomfort, fear and resistance. Join the conversation with Dr. Jeremiah Gibbs of the University of Indianapolis who is a long-time journeyer along both the Camino de Santiago and the Appalachian Trail. A veteran of taking more than 100 first-time pilgrims on long treks and all the transformative themes therein. Dr. Gibbs is also an avid trainer of Camino pilgrims online through his practical teachings on packing, prepping and planning.

Trekking for a Cause with Jeremy Vallerand

Today's conversation is shared with Jeremy Vallerand, CEO of Rescue Freedom International. At PL we intertwine our pilgrim story with our friends and we discover that the strangers we pass along The Way are in fact characters in our story as well. Jeremy takes the time to show how our story can and does include strangers on the other side of the world: the marginalized, the oppressed and the enslaved. He also shares his passion for climbing/trekking adventures and how he founded an Adventure Philanthropy organization called Climb for Captives.

Please join this rich conversation. Also, please follow the podcast and soon our YouTube page, share these conversations with friends, comment on posts and write us with your questions, pilgrim dreams and podcast ideas.

Friendship and Laughter up the Long Mountain of Life

Last week we got lost with Justin and Patrick from the award-winning film, "I'll Push You." Well, Tony didn't turn the recording off and surprised those beautiful pilgrims with a surprise guest, their mutual friend, Michael Turner, who also happened to appear in the their film as a "pusher," at the most fateful moment in their trek across Spain. This conversation is lively, like eavesdropping on a group of old friends at the neighborhood pub, sharing old Camino memories and lessons brought back home. Join in the laughter and loyalty.
